On Thursday, Fox Sports was one of the first outlets to report that NBC Sports had given the green light for the Denver-Rams game to air on NBC Sports Network.
And on Saturday, ESPN released the first of its Monday-night lineup picks, featuring the NFL’s best matchups from Monday night’s game between the Denver Broncos and the Washington Redskins.
On Saturday, Fox and NBC Sports Networks jointly aired two telecasts of the Washington-Broncos game, one for primetime and one for the late afternoon and late evening hours.
In both of the early telecasts, Fox hosted an interview with former Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and was joined by ESPN host John Buccigross.
The two teams also held an after-party in the stadium before the game and discussed the game’s importance.
In the midgame telecast, Fox host John McClain discussed the importance of the game for the Broncos.
“We had some good matchups this week in the divisional round, but we’ve got to come out here and compete in a tough game against a very good defense,” McClain said.
“The first thing I would do is watch that game, because I know it will help us, and then I would watch what we’ve been doing all week, because it’s been a tough year for us.”
“We’ve got some very good matchups in this divisional and NFC playoff race.
And I would say that the Broncos are going to be playing at a high level,” McClay added.
“But if we can get our game-plan in, we have the potential to win the game.”
Fox and NBC News have shared a total of 17 telecasts on Thursday and Friday this season, according to the network.
The Broncos’ game against the Redskins on Sunday will air on CBS Sports Network at 9 p.m.
ET, while the Redskins’ game on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans will air at 8 p.M. ET.
